Golden Shapes

Here is a tutorial I created with alpha selections.
This is my first alpha selection tutorial.

Supplies

You will need a tube of your choice or you could use the one provided.
This is medium level of Paint Shop Pro experience.

Is not a copy of anyone’s work or tutorial.

1. Open the Golden shapes to come alpha into Paint Shop Pro. This will be your work area. Make sure you delete the layer with the watermark vector layer. . The layer that remains is not empty or blank, it has alpha selections on it.

2. Foreground>pattern>trudiesgold at angle 0- scale 100

Background>pattern>red carpet

3. Flood Fill tool and flood fill this layer with trudiesgold pattern

4. Bring the layer opacity down to 70

5. Layers>Add new Raster layer

6. Gold fill in materials> pattern> change angle to 45

7. Selection>Load/Save Selection>Load Selection to Alpha Channel> Golden shapes

8. Flood Fill tool selection with gold

9. Selections>none

10. Get your tube Edit>copy

11. Edit paste as new layer into working area.

12. Layers>add new raster layer

13. Selection>Load/Save Selection>Load Selection to Alpha Channel> Golden shapes 2

14. Flood fill with gold.

15. Effects>3d effects>drop shadow with v, h 1 opacity 74 blur 2 color black

16. Selection none

17. Layers>add new raster layer

18. Selection>Load/Save Selection>Load Selection to Alpha Channel> Golden shapes 3

19. Flood fill with gold

20. Move down to the middle which should be below the tube layer

21.Effects>3d effects>drop shadow with v, h 1 opacity 74 blur 2 color black

22.Effects>3d effects>drop shadow with v, h -1 opacity 74 blur 2 color black

23.Select none

24. New Layer>Materials>pattern> red carpet. Flood Fill with red carpet.

25. Move this layer down just above the raster 1 layer.

26. Bring the opacity down to 70 or what is best for you.

27. Image>add borders> 1 in a dark color of your tube.

28. Image>add borders> 25 in a light color of your tube.

29. Selections>Selected all and contracted by 25 and Invert flood filled with the gold pattern

30. Change the pattern to gold delight with angle 45 and scale 100. Flood Fill selected border with gold delight.

31. Selection>Invert

32. Effect> 3d effects>drop shadow with above settings.

33. Select None

34. Effects> 3d effects>drop shadow with v and h 0 opacity 74, blur 19 color to dark color of your tube.

35. Image>add borders> 1 in a dark color of your tube.

36. Selections>Select all

37. Selections>Float

38. Effects>cutout> v and h 0 opacity 100 and blur 16 in a dark color of tube

39. Image>resize 550

40. Put your watermark on it. And you are done.

Insert into letter creator. Enclosed is the background for letter creator or make your own.
