How to make Globes
Below you can see the finished globe.
You will need eye
candy 4 or eye candy 5 Impact.
Jasc Animation
VM Sparkle
You can get this on line search.
A tube and a
background or a picture. I will use
a picture.

put the sparkle in
your PSP plugin folder
This is my first
tutorial so please if you have

This tutorial is
written as if you have
some knowledge of Paint Shop Pro.
Open Paint
shop Pro and the picture or tube.
Go to file, new and click.
Make a new image 400 width
by 400 Height in a raster background and make sure the
transparent is clicked and hit ok.
Go to view and click on the ruler so you can see
the pixels of the work area and the picture.
Now minimize this and go back to the picture.
Go to Layers at the top and click the promote to layer.
Now use your curser and click the selections tool as you can
see below. Then select the ellipse.
Make sure the feather is 0 and the Anti-alias is clicked.
Start from the
center of the picture and pull left or right
as you can see below and go as long or wide as
you like.
You might need to do this a few times to
practice to get it exact. If you don't
like what you have click the back button and try again.
Now you have what
people call is marching ants
around the picture.
Go to Selection and invert.
Hit the delete button.
Then selection none.
Hit the move tool
just above the selection tool
and move the picture in the center.
Now click Image at
the top and then resize. Hit OK.
Now go to Alien
skin eye candy 5 impact or
eye candy 4 and click the glass.
I used the eye candy 5.
Then Go to lighting tab and mess around with that and
find what you might like. I put the direction of the
light on the right middle and the Light is on full.
click ok when you find what you like.
Now open the 400x400
Copy and paste as
new layer the picture to the
400x400 transparent. Then close the
picture that we just copied from.
Now center the
picture to the top center.
Click on the swan
base below and open in PSP.

Use the move tool and activate the base itself.
Make sure the base moves
with the move tool and not the globe.
Copy and paste as new layer to the globe picture.
Now put the globe
base where you think
it suits you.
Layers merge
visible.
Push down on the
shift key and Hit D two times on
the keyboard.
Go to Effects
VM sparkle.
Now you don't have
to make it sparkle.
You can add your own stuff like little stars or
little flowers or ....
What I do is get
the 3 pictures lined up so you
don't get them confused.
The first one to the top and the second one in the middle left and
the third one to the lower left of PSP.
the top picture I
use this.
if you move the red green or blue it will make
different colors of sparkles.
You can mess around with the controls a little but
i usually put the random seed at the beginning part of
the scale.
Now for the second
picture use this random seed
about in the middle.
The third picture
move the random seed towards the
end.
Now open Jasc
Animation
We are going to
make the globe sparkle now.
We are going to
copy and paste the three picture so that the sparkle
will look great in the globe.
Take the first
picture that I told you to put at the top copy from PSP and
right click and paste as new animation
into Jasc Animation.
Now copy the middle picture and click
on the picture and right click paste after the
current frame. and the third copy and paste after the current
frame.
Now click on the
view animation as below picture
and you can see the globe sparkle.
If you want to slow
down the animation you can edit select all
Then go to animation, frame properties, and slow down the
sparkle or speed it up by changing the number...
The higher the number the slower it gets.
Save it and use
these examples
The higher the quality the larger the file will be.
I use this quality because it looks almost exactly the
way it is but the globe file will be smaller for
email or for the webpage to open faster.
