Simple Tag
You will need Paint
Shop Pro.
A picture.
Open PSP and copy
and paste the picture.
If you want to resize or crop go ahead.
Go to Image then resize with the locked and resize
layers checked. Make it 250 if you want for the width.
If you want to crop it to make the sides more narrow
go to the left hand side and look at example below.
click the green check like above but on the top
or with PSP 11
the green a check on picture.
Now Go to
selections above and then Select All.
Then go to Effects 3D Effects and click cutout.
Notice the Color of the Shadow color is from the Dark of
the picture. Hit ok.
Selections
then select none.
Go to Image then to
Add Border 2 pixels with a
light color of the picture.
Image Add Border 4 pixels with a dark
color of the picture. Like Below.
Now go to the
Text Tool and click on the picture
in the middle somewhere.
Then you see that i have a dark from the picture for the background.
It is on the right side in the upper middle.
Pick a text as you see i have High Tower Text. Size 22
I have the B clicked for Bold and the vector clicked.
And now apply
Now move the text where you want it.
Layers and promote to raster layer.
Ok now go to
Effects 3d Effects and give it a drop shadow.
Mess around with the color and vertical and horizontal
Opacity and blur.
These are my values. Then hit ok.
Layers merge
flatten all.
You are done.
A simple tag.
Experiment with
different plugins.
The Text could have had eye candy to make it look glassy
or you could use Effects 3d effects Inner Bevel to make
the letter raise up a little.
But I just wanted to keep it simple for a beginner.
